Wardrobe
A wardrobe is a standing closet used for storing clothes. The earliest wardrobe was a chest, and it was not until some degree of luxury was attained in regal palaces and the castles of powerful nobles that separate accommodation was provided for the apparel of the great. The name of wardrobe was then given to a room in which the wall-space was filled with closets and lockers, the drawer being a comparatively modern invention[citation needed]. From these cupboards and lockers the modern wardrobe, with its hanging spaces, sliding shelves and drawers, evolved slowly.(Ref: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wardrobe)
We know about the wardrobe but though we confused some bit of time.
Confusion are
- Where we have to place the wardrobe?
- Use a custom made or ready made wardrobe?
- What is the materials should use for wardrobe?
- Design of the wardrobe?
Most new flat purchaser confused to have a wardrobe custom made or ready made?
- As per my personal experience, dont go for readymade wardrobes or kitchen cabinets, They look fancy, expensive and they are not durable. you can hire a good carpenter and get things done, which last for longer- by Manjunath_H » October 17th, 2012, 10:20 pm
- I really wonder if we can ever move a wardrobe once installed and if they can with stand .My personal opinion don't go for ready made stuff if you have an option to get it done with carpenter.I have seen best brands in ready made that cannot with stand Indian style usage.Hinges gives away from wood in no time (if not used smoothly).Once hinges comes out of wood there is no way you can fix them back.Even in carpenter made wardrobes you can change the colors after some time,if you go for veneer it can be re polished and give a brand new look (max one or two times depending up on quality of veneer)-by ardesarchitects » October 5th, 2012, 10:02 am
- They uses click type clamps semi sliding Brackets which needs to be used very carefully daily. It doesn't withstand the rough and tough way of using. Also the partitions are placed on a metal hook which doesn't bear more weight. Over a period of time the joints get loosens and starts shaky and one fine day entire wardrobe may collapse.by msn1270 » October 23rd, 2012, 2:25 pm
There are lots more opinion face and experiencing the same. Our honest suggestion is to go with the custom made wardrobe. It will build in your place.Finishing will be zero zero (less error). Material will be as per your choice. As custom make the space utilisation will be optimised.
